  • Service improvement — analysing usage patterns to improve reliability, features, and user experience
  • Security — detecting, preventing, and responding to fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity
  • Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable law
  • Communications — sending service updates, security notices, and (where you have opted in) product news

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your monitoring data to serve advertising.

Service Providers

We work with third-party companies that help us operate the Service. These providers only access your data to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it:

  • Stripe — payment processing and billing
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting, storage, and compute

Integrations You Enable

When you configure integrations (Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, webhooks, etc.), incident data is sent to those platforms according to your configuration. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party platforms you integrate with.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any such change.

Public Status Pages

If you create a public status page, the information you choose to display on that page (monitor names, uptime data, incident history) will be publicly accessible. Do not include sensitive information on public status pages.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data — retained while your account is open and for up to 90 days after deletion
  • Monitor & incident data — retained according to your plan limits and deleted upon account closure
  • Billing records — retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by financial regulations
  • Log data — typically retained for 90 days
  • Support communications — retained for up to 2 years after resolution

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at contact form. Certain data may be retained longer if required by law.

Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Access controls and authentication requirements for internal systems

  • Payment card data handled exclusively by PCI-DSS compliant processors (Stripe)

No security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

StatusPulse operates globally. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland to countries not deemed adequate by the relevant authorities, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
